The true story of Fanny Brawne (Abbie Cornish), 23 years old British citizen in 1818 who has a love of fashion. Neighbor, a talented young poet, John Keats (Ben Whishaw), underestimate the ingenuity Fanny because he believes that Fanny was not interested in literature. However, Fanny Keats tried to help the family when John was seriously ill relatives, and as a gesture of thanks, John was willing to teach poetry - bringing Fanny and John are in love. Although they wanted to get married, financial problems and partner John (Paul Schneider) - believes that Fanny is nothing more than unwanted noise - trying to keep the marriage never existed between them.
