While 2010 is more than half over, there are still a number of upcoming Hindi films that are creating a lot of buzz among movie goers. Here's a look at a few of the highly anticipated films that are slated for release this year.
Aisha
An adaptation of Jane Austen’s Emma, Aisha stars Sonam Kapoor in the title role, with Abhay Deol as her leading man. Sonam's younger sister, Rhea Kapoor, is the producer of the film, which is directed by Rajshree Ojha. It's stated for release on August 6.
Peepli Live
Produced by Aamir Khan and directed by debutante director, Anusha Rizvi, Peepli Live is a satire about how poor, simple villagers are exploited by politicians and the media for their own selfish gains. The film is scheduled for release on August 13.
We are Family
A Bollywood remake of Stepmom, We are Family will have Kajol and Kareena Kapoor essaying the roles played by Susan Sarandon and Julia Robers in the original. The film, which also stars the handsome Arjun Rampal, is due for release in September.
Anjaana Anjaani
Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, and Zayed Khan, Anjaana Anjaani is about a fortuitous encounter that changes the lives of the protagonists for ever. This film is set to release in September.
Guzaarish
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Guzaarish is a tale about Hrithik Roshan, a wheelchair-bound quadriplegic, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, his married nurse. The movie is slated for release in November.
