Wedding Dress Fall wedding trend: The color purple

It's autumn and that means a new season full of great trends for your upcoming wedding. Curious about what's hot for fall nuptials? Check out Part 1 of our Fall Bridal Trends series: The Color Purple.

From plum to grape, purple is all the rage this season. If it complements your bridesmaid dresses, use this color in your decorations to make your reception site pop. Mix it into your flower arrangements to add depth and interest. Wear it to your rehearsal dinner (and add a punch of purple to your fiance's rehearsal dinner wardrobe, too).

Purple is an amazing color that works well with the gorgeous yellows, oranges and reds in fall foliage. It also looks great when paired in unexpected color combinations like these:

* With chartreuse (a yellow-y green) for a sophisticated lounge look
* With camel for high-fashion flair
* With blue-gray for modern elegance
* With berry for the utmost in romance

Ask your decorator for advice on how to work this worldly color in to your decor, or if you're doing your own planning, try adding a little purple to your accessories and go from there.

Remember, purple, in all of its many shades, works beautifully with numerous colors - so this is one wedding trend most any bride can embrace.

Jason Schwartzman has another thing to be thankful for this year. He and his wife, Brady Cunningham, welcomed their first child, a little girl named Marlowe Rivers in Los Angeles, Calif. in early December.

The 30-year-old actor said he couldn’t wait to become a father as well as the birth since he didn’t know what the sex of his baby was. The couple was waiting for the delivery to find out, which he said was “going to be a great moment.”

Schwartzman and Cunningham, a fashion designer, married in July 2009.

The “Bored to Death” actor said he couldn’t wait to see his little baby home where he can start showing the baby her home.

He said:

"I read a book that said you're supposed to do that -- it's called The Baby Whisperer. You're supposed to take the baby around and be like, 'This is the bathroom. And this is the living room.' I was like, 'Really?'" Admin
